Nonprofit focused on entrepreneurship-based experiential learning, working with under-resourced high school students, to prepare them for a future of college and success

CHALLENGE: The organization often stayed under the radar in a city full of notable nonprofits and needed help highlighting their mission value, which would help with board growth, fundraising, new partnership schools, and aiding more at-risk youth with a high likelihood of not attending college or graduating high school.

RESULTS:

• Increased brand awareness through re-framed messaging and positioning, mapped opportunities for exposure, strategic partnerships and new relationships
• Helped strategize around large annual fundraising gala event
• Implementation strategy resulting in growth within each department
• Large media push that focused on the organization’s mission, programming, storytelling and event fundraisers
• Five profile TV segments on the organization and 40 additional print and online media hits
• Media trained staff and teens to prepare for on-camera interviews and pitching product at events
• Revitalized social media team and focused on digital face of organization
• Garnered more press over one year, specifically in a three-month period, than the organization had received in its entirety
