As the Founder and Managing Director of SilverStrategy, Tara Chantal Silver leads the strategic planning and implementation of the full-service public relations agency in Washington, D.C.

Founded in 2008, SilverStrategy has become known as the region’s premier strategic communications and marketing agency, specializing in creating problem-solving campaigns for emerging businesses.

Tara is an award-winning strategist and entrepreneur, with over 15 years of experience and a results-driven track record. Leveraging her vast network, she helps a diverse, top-line set of clients navigate the wilds of brand elevation. From Hollywood’s power players to the region’s budding startups, her unique skill-set offers a creative and innovative approach to marketing and PR, providing clients with top-notch consulting and high value proposition.

Tara has become known as a go-to “connector,” by leveraging a vast database of contacts to maximize clients’ opportunities for exposure, growth and success. Over the years, she’s created countless successful strategy campaigns for over a hundred clients, and garnered thousands of media placements and partnership opportunities. She continues to champion innovative approaches that expand clients’ presence in the media and marketplace.

Prior to founding SilverStrategy, Tara served as Vice President at the public affairs firm, Westin Rinehart, and ran the Media and Public Affairs office at the Embassy of Israel in Ottawa, Canada. Tara has also worked on a number of political campaigns and currently serves as a consultant, advisor and mentor to a number of local nonprofits and startups.

In 2011, Tara was the proud recipient of the Washington Women in PR Emerging Leaders Award. She is a master at the art of connecting and community building, and was also the Co-founder of DC Entrepreneurship Week, a series of events created to foster economic growth and encourage entrepreneurship within the business community. In addition, Tara is the founder of JTechDC, an organization celebrating entrepreneurial leadership.

A Montreal native, Tara has proudly called D.C. home for over 15 years. She loves traveling, musical theatre, and is a proud poutine aficionado (you can take the girl out of Montreal, but can’t take Montreal out of the girl…).
